Through the simulation of patient vital signs, VITAS Palpapad enables the performance of hands-on medical task training critical to the development of physical assessment skills.  Designed in collaboration with the U.S. Army’s Department of Combat Medic Training from 2000 to 2003, the Palpapad hardware device operates in conjunction with specially designed software to replicate pulses, heart and lung sounds, as well as response to touch stimulus.
