The PSP is a two-man portable, rapidly deployed surveillance and assessment system designed to detect and identify activity within a designated area.  The system can be configured to provide persistent surveillance, intrusion alarming from video-based motion detection and utilize remote passive infrared/ seismic/ acoustic/ or volumetric sensors.

The PSP is a multi-mission platform with capabilities that can provide or  enhance:area or fixed-point surveillance; protection of critical infrastructure and key assets; and, protection of deployed assets.  The PSP is a force multiplier in situations where rapid deployment and portability are essential to mission success. 

The PSP uses a high resolution, long wave thermal imager, combined with a long range daylight/ low light camera to capture imagery, which is then wirelessly transmitted as streaming video to a laptop computer in the remote base station located at a remote command center.  An operator then assesses the streaming video to determine if the detected target is a legitimate threat/target and take appropriate action.
